US President Donald Trump has nominated senior Indian-American diplomat Manisha Singh as his envoy to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Currently Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs on the State Department, Singh would be the US consultant to OECD with the rank of an Ambassador, based on the nomination despatched to the Senate by the White House.

Paris-based OECD is an intergovernmental financial organisation with 36 member international locations to stimulate financial progress and world commerce.

On April 27, Donald Trump had introduced his intent to appoint Singh for this place.
