Lockdown: Hyundai rolls out 200 automobiles from Chennai plant on first day of resuming operations

Hyundai Motor India on Saturday stated its Chennai-based manufacturing facility rolled out 200 vehicles on the primary day of resuming manufacturing.

The firm re-started manufacturing actions at its plant in Sriperumbudur (close to Chennai) on May 8.

The auto main has commenced manufacturing on the facility adhering to 100 per cent compliance of security and social distancing norms, Hyundai Motor India stated in a press release.

In line with the federal government’s goals of reviving the economic system and firm’s world imaginative and prescient of progress for humanity, the graduation of producing operations is geared toward boosting financial actions and bringing again normalcy, it added.

Several industries are resuming operations in a phased method following an over month-long shutdown as a result of coronavirus lockdown.
