Woman Cop Defers Marriage To Help Migrant Workers Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

Call of responsibility prompted Shahida Parveen to defer her marriage in order that she may assist migrant staff

Rishikesh:

Preferring her responsibility over private issues within the struggle towards coronavirus, a girl police officer in Rishikesh postpone her marriage to have the ability to take care of migrant staff at a reduction camp.

Shahida Parveen, a sub-inspector posted at Muni Ki Reti police station in Rishikesh, is at present deployed at a reduction camp meant for migrant staff. She was to get married on April 5.

However, the decision of responsibility prompted the officer to defer her marriage in order that she may care for the migrant staff on the reduction camp the place she is posted.

“At a time when the entire country is fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, we also have certain duties to fulfill. So, I decided to defer my marriage scheduled for April 5 to be available for people who need my services,” Ms Parveen stated.

She stated her potential husband was fully in settlement with the choice, including they may get married after issues return to normalcy.

Praising her for her determination, DG Law and Order Ashok Kumar stated Uttarakhand police was happy with Parveen for whom responsibility comes first.
